Description :
The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Exalt Health's corporate network infrastructure. This includes ensuring network availability, security, and performance to support the organization's mission-critical operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Network Design and Implementation :
Design and implement new network solutions and expansions to meet evolving business needs.
Configure and install network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network devices.
Implement and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and VPNs.
Network Maintenance and Support :
Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network issues promptly.
Troubleshoot network connectivity problems for users and devices.
Perform regular network maintenance, including firmware updates, patching, and configuration backups.
Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Network Security :
Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents.
Conduct regular network security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Vendor Management :
Work with network vendors to procure and maintain network hardware and software.
Coordinate with vendors for network support and troubleshooting.
Other Duties :
Participate in IT projects and initiatives.
Provide technical support to IT staff and end users.
Stay current on network technologies and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements : Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience
3 years of experience in network administration, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Certifications
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network are preferred
Skills :
Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP / IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networking.
Experience with network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and VPNs.
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
