Armed Special Police Officer (Full-Time)
Security Police Officer at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Headquarters in Washington D.C.
Seeking excellent Full-time candidates to serve at the Headquarters of the USDA in downtown Washington D.C. on Independence Avenue. This is a high-profile position that serves to protect and represent the USDA. The USDA receives many public visitors, dignitaries and top government officials of the United States and foreign countries. This position requires exceptional professionalism, appearance, and courteous behavior. We are seeking Security Police Officer’s who will effectively interact with all persons they come into contact with as well as be able to effectively respond to security and emergency situations in service to the Secretary of the USDA, USDA’s work force and all visitors to the USDA.
COMPENSATION
Rates as of December 1, 2024
Overtime rate will be $55.64 (time and a half based off base hourly rate) Eligible for overtime pay for actual hours worked over forty per work week.
42.02 stright-time rate. Total hourly rate of compensation (up to 40 hours per week). The breakdown is as follows :
- 37.09 / hr base pay
- Health and Welfare $4.93 / hr (up to 40 hours per week)
401k of $0.77 / hr (up to 40 hours per week)
From now until November 30, 2024, the rates are :

40.46 Straight-time rate. Total hourly rate of compensation (up to 40 hours per week). The breakdown is as follows :

Shifts may be fixed or may rotate depending on the client's needs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
