Job Title: Front Office Coordinator
Position Summary:
Ensure the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees, and referral sources through the coordination and administration of the “front office” activities and “On the floor” patient care.
Essential Functions:
- Answer and direct telephone calls.
- Handle patient appointments/scheduling.
- Coordinate patient charts and appointments to ensure timely service within facility.
- Obtain patient billing and insurance information in order to maintain current and accurate information in patient charts. Also, prepare forms for “new patient” initial visits and patient charts.
- Assist with patient care when needed.
- Perform general clerical functions as necessary including filing, copying, faxing progress notes, discharge summaries and initial evaluations.
- Data and Payment entry into field specific computer programs.
- Maintain operational levels of all supplies and order supplies when needed.
- Maintain authorizations with insurance companies who require it. All workers compensation patients require this and several commercial insurance companies require this.
- Assist with cleaning/laundry and clinical aesthetics. This includes sanitizing equipment and cleaning hydrocollator.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal, oral (including telephone) and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Multi-tasking and coordinating front office duties with patient care.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to use all necessary office equipment, computer, faxes, copiers etc.
- Ability/Desire to want to stay busy.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 32 per week
