What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Office Receptionist position at Workman Family Dental?
We are looking for a front desk receptionist for our well-established, one doctor practice, that is privately owned and not corporate. We have a great long-standing team! We have many great long-standing patients, and strive to provide quality, conservative dental care to them. Customer service, attention to detail, and teamwork skills are a must. Our long-time front desk mainstay is retiring from dentistry, and we are looking for her replacement.
Qualifications:
- Experience working as a dental receptionist preferred
- Knowledge of dental insurance claims
- Computer skills, and experience with Dentrix
- Enjoys working in a steady, low-stress environment
- Strong organizational skills and team player
- Professional personality and appearance
Daily Job Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Verify and update patient insurance info and data at check in
- Coordinate appointments once pre-authorization is approved
- Collect co-payments and print walk out statements
- Performing general front desk duties
- Treating the patients as if they were family
- Entering payments into patient's account and daily balancing of collections
