Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Color Matcher to join our skilled and established lab team. As a Color Matcher, you will play a key role in ensuring the precise and consistent reproduction of colors for Industrial and architectural coating applications. 1. Color Analysis:
· Evaluate and analyze color samples using specialized equipment, visual inspection, and color matching software.
· Understand and interpret color specifications and requirements.
2. Color Matching:
· Match colors for various materials, including paints, fabrics, plastics, inks, and other products, to meet established standards and specifications.
· Adjust and formulate color pigments or dyes to achieve desired shades.
3. Quality Control:
· Conduct quality control checks to ensure consistency in color throughout the production process.
· Identify and address deviations from color standards.
4. Equipment Operation:
· Operate and maintain color measurement instruments, spectrophotometers, and other tools used for color matching.
· Calibrate equipment regularly to ensure accuracy.
5. Communication:
· Collaborate with customer, production teams, and other stakeholders to understand color requirements and expectations.
· Provide feedback on the feasibility of achieving specific color targets.
6. Record Keeping:
· Maintain accurate records of color formulas, adjustments, and specifications.
· Create and update databases for future reference.
7. Problem-Solving:
· Troubleshoot and address color-related issues during the production process.
· Propose solutions for achieving challenging or unique color requirements.
8. Research and Development:
· Stay informed about new color technologies, trends, and industry advancements.
· Participate in research and development activities to improve color matching processes.
Qualifications:
· Education: Associate or Bachelors in the sciences OR HS Diploma with Experience working in a lab
· Experience: Previous experience in color matching, quality control, or a related field is preferred
· Skills:
o Strong understanding of color theory and principles.
o Proficiency in using color measurement tools and software.
o Attention to detail and excellent visual acuity.
· Problem-solving and analytical skills.
