Trailer Technician

Job Summary

As a Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and framing trailers specifically designed to accommodate simulator systems. Your work will ensure these trailers provide a safe, durable, and efficient environment for high-tech simulators. This role requires expertise in electrical systems, non-structural framing, and precision assembly to meet unique customer specifications.

Responsibilities

Electrical Work:

Install and troubleshoot 12V, 120V, and 240V systems, including wiring for lighting, HVAC, power panels, and electronic components required for simulators.

Ensure all electrical components meet safety standards and operate correctly within the trailer's layout.

Framing & Structural Work:

Fabricate and upfit trailer interiors and exteriors to accommodate simulator equipment, ensuring precision, durability, and load-bearing requirements are met.

Work with steel, aluminum, and wood materials to meet the project’s structural needs, such as cabinets, benches and interior/exterior walls.

Perform repairs or modifications on existing trailer frames.

Trailer Assembly & Simulator Integration:

Coordinate with engineers to ensure the frame and electrical layout align with simulator requirements.

Perform welding or reinforcement as needed for structural integrity.

Requirements

Experience working on trailers, particularly in electrical systems and framing.

Knowledge of 12V, 120V, and 240V electrical systems, including HVAC and residential breaker panels.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and blueprints.

Experience with power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.

Familiarity with simulator or technology-based trailer installations (preferred).

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to lift heavy materials.
