As a Trailer Assembly Technician, you will operate a variety of tools and equipment to assemble trailers, following blueprints and specifications. Your tasks will include preparing metal surfaces, assembling components, and fastening parts together using bolts, screws, or rivets. You will also be responsible for accurate measurement and layout, ensuring that all assemblies meet precise specifications.
To excel in this role, you must have strong technical skills, including the ability to read and understand blueprints and company documents. You should also have basic math skills, especially with fractions, and familiarity with computerized automated equipment.
The ideal candidate will have entry-level experience in assembly or a similar field, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. You will work collaboratively as part of a team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth production processes.
In addition to your technical skills, you must be physically able to stand, walk, reach, grasp, lift, bend, and perform various physical tasks outlined in the job requirements. Critical thinking skills, including reasoning, decision-making, problem-solving, and comprehension skills, are also essential for this role.
