Service and Technical Support Engineer
JOB SUMMARY :
The Technical Service and Support Engineer primary responsibilities are the customer Service Contract's technical support (phone and / or on-site), managing the service phone calls and supporting the Technical Writers to meet project deliverable deadlines. Additional controls engineering responsibilities may include research; estimating support; component selection; network design; panel design review; layout; device troubleshooting; PLC and HMI programming; on-site installation and debug; and after-sales support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Timely technical support of customer system issue (phone or on-site).
- Timely input service call reports for records and billings.
- Understand AC / DC control systems.
- Managing service calls and phone assignment
- Able to use computer software for design engineering and PLC programing.
- Assist and support the project management team in technical questions and issues.
- Ability to develop electrical diagrams with varying levels of efficiency while being able to locate and correct mistakes found in electrical diagrams by themselves and others.
- Be a valuable contributor to project teams.
- Clearly communicate and collaborate with customers on troubleshooting system issues.
- Communicate with other team members effectively and keep Administrative Coordinator advised of schedule; checking and using voicemail and email diligently; and maintaining the team relationship.
- Other responsibilities as needed.
