Job Summary
Overall Objectives
The Laundry Aide provides and maintains an adequate linen supply to all areas of the hospital. Retrieves and transports soiled linen to designated linen service collection area.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains accurate linen inventory levels in the Linen Room and in the departments serviced
- Receives clean linen
- Distributes clean linen to departments serviced
- Retrieves soiled linen following OSHA Blood borne Pathogen Standards
- Compiles, prints and delivers end of month linen report
- Maintains a clean, organized work area providing an efficient and safe work environment
- Must have the ability to generate a push / pull force of 13 to 57 pounds.
- Attends various education programs
- Proper phone etiquette
- Issues supplies / equipment to all areas of the hospital.
- Assists in stock replacement for the distribution area.
- Performs other duties as required. Some light housekeeping requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
