About the Role

DoorDash is seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) for Emerging Markets to drive new business growth across untapped markets, primarily in rural areas. In this role, you will travel extensively to establish partnerships with top local and regional restaurants, expanding DoorDash's presence in emerging markets.

As an aGML, you will work closely with a Regional Sales Manager and have access to essential sales tools, including marketing materials, gift cards, and business cards. This is a field sales position requiring face-to-face interactions and regular travel throughout the assigned region.

Travel Expectation:

  • The majority of travel will be within 1 hour of the hired city.
  • Some extended travel may include overnight stays and longer travel days (6-7 hours of driving or flights).
  • All travel expenses will be covered by the company.
  • Travel compliance will be monitored.

Responsibilities

  • Expand DoorDash's footprint in emerging, rural markets across the U.S.
  • Pitch and sell the value of DoorDash to restaurant owners, negotiating revenue share agreements.
  • Manage a fast-paced, transactional sales cycle, closing new partnerships within days.
  • Develop market expansion strategies and contribute to DoorDash's overall growth in new regions.

Compensation

  • Base salary commission structure
  • Commission potential up to $1,750/month, after meeting a minimum number of new partnerships.

What We're Looking For

  • 2.5 years of experience in a closing sales role or similar position.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to meet restaurant owners in-person.
  • Strong inside and outside sales tactics to achieve growth targets.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build scalable sales strategies and playbooks.
