Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Metal Finisher to join our team in the production of high-quality fire trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing and polishing metal surfaces to ensure a smooth, durable, and visually appealing final product. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail and experience working with various metal finishing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grind, sand, polish, and buff metal surfaces to achieve the required finish.
- Use hand and power tools to remove imperfections, weld splatter, and rough edges.
- Inspect and assess metal components to meet quality standards.
- Work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear provided protective gear, including Tyvek suits.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in metal finishing, grinding, polishing, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work with aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals.
- Proficiency in using grinders, sanders, and other finishing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to lift and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and PPE usage.
