Excelion Partners is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with our Appleton based client. This position will play a key role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate and lead safety meetings, training sessions, and safety drills.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and recommend safety equipment as needed.
- Monitor and report on safety metrics and trends to senior leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and certifications.
- Stay current on safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safe work practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH, OSHA 30-hour) is highly desirable.
- 2 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess risks and implement safety measures effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
