The Role Safety Specialist
In this role, you will assist with implementing, coordinating, and administering all Safety programs and setting the policies as they apply to team member relations, compensation, benefits, safety, performance, and compliance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following : data entry, managing files and other organizational tasks. You will work closely with management, supervisors, and team members.
What You'll Do
- Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive safety and health programs with an emphasis on positive safety culture.
- Support continuous improvement in loss control through the development of robust safety programs, systems and practices.
- Ensure all sites are in compliance through regular internal program assessments and monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and all site policies to ensure regulatory inspection and. / or audit ready preparedness.
- Ensure that the company complies and adheres to OSHA guidelines to reduce work-related injuries through tracking and monitoring workplace injuries and logs.
- Responsible for the safety training schedule of all new team members and recurring training for existing team members.
- Support and guide site team members, especially supervisors and middle managers to build strong health and safety leadership skills.
