Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing safety, OSHA, environmental, and governmental regulatory programs to ensure legal compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Safety, OSHA, Environmental, and Governmental Regulatory programs to ensure legal compliance and accuracy
- Identify, develop, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures based on organizational needs
- Oversee accident investigations and collaborate with HR on the Worker's Compensation program
- Lead the Safety Committee and Government Compliance Committee
- Ensure compliance with EPA-required programs, including Risk Management, Emergency Planning, and Air Emissions
- Stay updated on safety, training, and environmental regulations through ongoing education and training
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Training, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 yrs of EHS management experience
- Solid work history
- US citizen or possess a green card
- Residence within 45 minutes of the job location
