Job Description:
Design and Development:
- Create and modify electrical wire harness designs, ensuring they meet specifications and industry standards.
- Develop detailed drawings and schematics using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define wire harness requirements. More of a reverse engineering as product is already built and one has to develop a design based on the existing product.
Technical Documentation:
- Generate and maintain technical documentation, including wire lists, assembly instructions, and design specifications.
- Ensure design documentation is accurate and up-to-date throughout the product lifecycle.
Prototyping and Testing:
- Assist in the prototyping of wire harness assemblies and perform testing to validate design integrity.
- Identify and resolve design issues and implement necessary modifications.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet safety and performance criteria.
Project Management:
- Participate in project planning and scheduling to meet timelines and deliverables.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers and team members
7 years of relevant experience in aerospace
- Harness design: Designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting products
Project management: Planning, including schedules and budgets
Skills: Electrical Wire Harness design using solidworks, more of a reverse engineering.
