Excelraise, LLC is seeking an Azure GIS Unit Coordinator / Azure GIS Unit Support (Remote Job) for our client in Raleigh, NC.
***This is a 100% remote position. The candidate will need to use their own equipment for the duration of the engagement if they are not local***
This position is to provide support to the GIS Unit for cloud-based GIS resources. It is created to utilize advanced knowledge and skills in cloud systems to help build and maintain DOT’s Azure GIS systems. The position will also perform system monitoring, system tuning, and cost efficiency related tasks to ensure adequate availability and performance of GIS cloud services and applications. The position will be required to document the procedures for cloud system build, monitoring, troubleshooting, and regular maintenance. This employee must work with other teams in GIS Unit to coordinate the work needed for cloud-based GIS systems and processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding of cloud infrastructure and automating deployments, preferably with Bicep, but also with ARM templates.
- Knowledge and experience with managing and monitoring cloud systems.
- Knowledge of scripting in: PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Understanding of monitoring performance and efficiency of Azure resources using Azure Monitoring and Azure AppInsights.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret organizational and procedural problems to make recommendations and alterations to existing procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
