Key Responsibilities:
- Complete minor repair work, including repairing doors, locks, door frames, and handles, as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
- Perform basic plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains and fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
- Carry out regular cleaning duties, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Maintain all outdoor areas, including mowing, trimming, edging the lawn, and shoveling snow and ice as needed.
- Inspect control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues requiring immediate attention.
- Take inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the Supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
- Promptly respond to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
- Ensure all maintenance equipment is in good working order.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Sound knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical wiring.
- Proven general maintenance experience.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools as well as cleaning equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
- Maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment, ensuring the appearance of laundry areas for sanitation, order, and safety.
- Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions regarding the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, and cleaning instructions.
