What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mine Foreman position at Excelsior Mining, Inc.?
Excelsior Mining “The copper solution company” has an immediate employment opportunity for Mine Foreman at its operations at Johnson Camp Mine / Gunnison Project located in southeastern Arizona between the cities of Benson and Willcox.
The mine foreman will oversee the mining and transportation of ore and waste, as well as manage the contract miner. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and must have a strong knowledge of mining operations and safety procedures. They must also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Contract miners, engineers, and geologists.
You will:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Contract miners and support personnel
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Inspect mine site to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
Help Engineering and Geology develop and then implement mining plans to optimize productivity and efficiency
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on mining operations
Train and mentor new employees on safe and efficient mining practices
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of mining operations, safety standards, and regulations
Proven leadership and management skills to oversee a team of Contract miners
Ability to implement mine plans to ensure efficient and productive operations
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with miners, supervisors, and management
Knowledge of budgeting and cost control measures to optimize mine profitability
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on findings
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays, as needed for mine operations
Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or equivalent time spent in related field, preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Strong knowledge of mining operations, safety standards, and regulations
