Under the direction of the Solvent Extraction/Electrowinning Plant (SX/EW) Supervisor and the SX Control Room Operator, the SX Operations Assistant supports the operation and maintenance of the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Assists SX/EW Control Room Operator and others with the daily operations of the SX/EW Plant
- Collects frequent samples and conducts lab sample analysis, as required
- Tracks all assay results and reports to SX/EW Operator
- Conducts visual workplace inspections of the SX/EW Plant and process equipment including pumps, ponds, and pump stations
- Operates all process equipment according to procedures including rectifiers, filters, heater plate, well pumps and frame filter
- Responsible for organic recovery process including appropriate treatment procedures
- Perform area housekeeping to include cleaning, sweeping, washing down the plant, etc.
- Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in an industrial setting. Experience in an SX/EW Plant, preferred
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide figures for basic calculations
- Proficient in basic computer operations, including using previously created templates

- Will be scheduled to work rotating shifts including days, nights and weekends
