Assembly Line Operative - Wood Mill

Excelsior Wood Products is growing and we are currently seeking hard working Shop Employees to assist with production at our full service custom wood mill.

Excelsior Wood Products is a small, family owned business located in historic Kingston, NY. We have the capability to manufacture both new and a limited number of reclaimed wood products including mouldings, flooring, decking, siding, and paneling to name a few. The shop employee performs manual labor in a production line as guided by the floor manager.

• Employee must be able to meet physical demands of the job such as: stand/walk/kneel/crouch for prolonged periods of time.
• Follow all company policies and procedures as trained by the floor manager.
• Follow all safety procedures, including but not limited to: eyewear, hearing protection and not using cell phones in shop.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Count finished products.
• Clean and maintain work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This is an entry level position and we are willing to train the right person.

Mandatory drug testing and background check are required prior to employment.

Preferred education: High School Diploma, Trade School in woodworking desired but not required

Preferred Skills: Fork truck operation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
