Position Summary: This position will help to promote practice growth through effectively scheduling patient treatment in accordance with doctor and hygienists' availability, assisting patients with financial options, and following up on overdue patient appointments.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments in consideration of production and capacity
- Set up appointments with specialists when indicated and coordinate with specialists
- Accept and record payments
- Present financing options to patients and make necessary arrangements
- Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
- Retrieve and follow up on messages and e-mails regarding treatment and new appointments
- Monitor schedule and patients who are waiting in reception area; notify appropriate staff of patient arrival and when there has been a delay in patient seating for appointment.
- Make courtesy calls for treatment follow-up (post-op calls, when necessary)
- Additional responsibilities as needed & as appropriate
Success Factors:
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain positive rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community
- Effective verbal skills to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff
- Professional personal presentation
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in a dental office preferred
- Computer literacy
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Sitting 70%
- Standing/walking 30%
- Moderate noise levels from dental and other Lab equipment.
- Medical, office, and lab setting.
- Exceptional hand dexterity and typing skills to work with standard software programs provided.
- Good Mathematical aptitude in order to prepare and interpret financial and productivity reports for the practice.
- Frequent client and interoffice personnel interaction
- Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) as required for computer software programs and the observation of subordinates’ work quality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
