1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed - Cazenovia (NS - JB)
A 35-year-old engaging male is looking for a DSP to assist him with accessing his local community and social interactions. He enjoys the outdoors, parks, swinging, hiking, bowling, playing games, going to libraries, coloring, puzzles, and Disney Movies. Schrek is his favorite. He also likes to eat out at McDonalds.
The ideal candidate must be reliable and creative, engaging and active, and patient. The ideal candidate must have experience with building social skills.
This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.
Hours and days of work: 6 hours Available Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday 2pm-8pm (would split into 2 hours a day)
Starting pay: Starting pay is $18.00/hour
Location: Cazenovia, NY
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community.
- Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
- No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
- New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
