Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in our residents. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents and contribute to their communication and swallowing abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and residents' goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to residents to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care planning.
- Educate residents and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment strategies, and techniques for enhancing communication and swallowing safety.
- Document evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Indiana.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
