As a Human Resources Specialist at Exceptional Wellness Counseling, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of our workforce related capabilities, with an emphasis on culture, which is critical to our overall mission and values. You will be part of our Management Team and through design, development, and strategy you will support the healthy growth of our team of mental health professionals and operations.
The key areas are recruitment, culture, and HR administration, including benefits and other duties as needed. You will wear many hats in this role as you will be the resident Human Resources expert working closely with our founder and leadership team. You will likely have worked in a similar sized company in a health or services practice.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the employee relations, compliance, and learning and development functions.
- Manage all aspects of employee recruitment and hiring, conducting initial interviews, stay / exit interviews and identifying internal talent.
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Resolve complex employee relations and performance problems; counsel managers and employees on preventing and resolving workplace issues.
- Maintain and manage employee records.
- Lead in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and legal compliance across the organization.
- Plan, execute, and deliver employee engagement programs and initiatives as a member of the Social Committee.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as needed.
- Being an active and valuable member of our Leadership Team. Good understanding of the business needs and objectives, the people, and the ability to manage it all to support the business.
- Acts as the HR expert and sustains continuous dialogue with managers on both internal and external issues and opportunities.
- Able to proactively identify and propose solutions to address recruitment challenges and provides input into the workforce plan and ensures alignment with the strategic plan of the organization.
- Lead change programs, analyzes how change can be sustained / supported through redesigned HR strategies, programs, practices, policies, and processes.
- Ensures business needs are met while remaining compliant with policy.
- Supports the application of strategies to address talent gaps and needs.
- Sets expectations and drives results through ownership and accountability.
- Seeks out opportunities to improve delivery, maximize ROI with minimal resources, and effectively manage risk by reducing processes where possible.
- Provide coaching and counsel to the management / leadership team in all areas of HR.
- Leads cultural development programs including creating new opportunities to enhance culture engagement and diversity.
