The AML/Compliance Specialist will also assist the compliance department with monitoring activity to evaluate the adherence to regulatory requirements.
The Main Duties Of The AML/Compliance Specialist Will Be
- Assist the AML Officer in monitoring all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs.
- Transaction Monitoring & Review, analyze customer transactions for suspicious activity and escalate potential issues for further investigation.
- Assist the compliance department in monitoring programs that ensure bank compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules governing the banks deposit, lending, and product offerings.
- Help develop, update, and enforce compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
- Assist the Compliance Officer in training bank employees on compliance requirements, including AML, fraud prevention and regulatory updates.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and assist in preparing reports for regulatory agencies.
- General knowledge of overall bank operations, Bank Secrecy Act
- Knowledge of the AML, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, FinCEN guidance and all related Regulations, with knowledge of AML monitoring software being a plus
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance related to lending and deposit compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and assess risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report writing and regulatory correspondence.
- Must have the ability to work independently, take initiative, manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a compliance, AML, or Risk management role within a financial institution.
