You will learn more here in a year than you could in 5 years somewhere else. We are looking for a Low Voltage Cable Tech. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Position Responsibilities:
- 3 years experience working in a commercial, residential and/or industrial environment.
- 3 years Experience pulling and/or terminating Cat 5/5e, Cat 6/6e, Fiber Optic or Coax cable
- 3 years Skills for terminating and dressing distribution frames (66 and/or 110 blocks, patch panels, etc)
- 3 years Experience using digital multi-meters, toning and/or testing cable
- 3 years Ability to troubleshoot any issues with the network
- You must be able to pass a background and reference checks.
- You must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s license.
- Own you own basic hand tools.
- Must have your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Attention to detail and quality of work
- Certifications and/or formal training in any of the above listed items is a Plus (Bicsi).
- Experience installing and terminating Fiber Optic cable.
- Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
- Stable work history, professionalism and dependability
- Outstanding customer service skills * Strong organizational skills * Advanced troubleshooting skills; adept at utilizing resources and finding solutions * Occasional heavy lifting
- Ability to work with other technical personnel for collaborative problem solving
