Human Resources Assistant
Executive Coach Builders is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Springfield, MO! We are a premier luxury limousine and bus builder - family owned and operated for 40 years! We'd love to have you on our team.
This is a Human Resources role with an emphasis on recruiting. Our ideal candidate should have prior experience in Human Resources and/or within the recruitment field.
Human Resources Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assisting the HR Director in administration of the HR department and company policies
- Performing administrative duties, such as maintaining employee databases, employee records, and responding to correspondence for the HR department
- Maintaining proper records of employee attendance and leave to assist with payroll duties
- Coordinating orientation and training sessions for new and existing employees
- Serving as a point of contact, providing smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
- Managing and coordinating schedules for the HR department, including meetings and events
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety, worker’s compensation, and employment and labor laws
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for the department
Recruitment Collateral Duties:
- Understanding recruitment concepts and networking resources
- Submitting online job postings, shortlisting candidates and scheduling job interviews
- Interviewing potential applicants regarding their skills, experience and education
- Contacting references and performing background checks on certain applicants
- Informing applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits and duties
Human Resources Assistant Qualifications:
- Strong human resources and business acumen
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and resolve employees’ problems
- Familiarity with office software applications
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations as well as industry-specific regulations
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Discretion and the ability to keep data and information private
