What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accountant Intern position at Executive Construction?
It is the responsibility of an Accounting Intern to assist the accounting team. It is imperative that the Accounting Intern become familiar with all of Executive Construction’s Policies and Procedures and embrace Executive Construction’s core values. The position will be in our Hillside office. During the internship, the Accounting Intern will assist with the responsibilities referenced below:
Responsibilities
- Accounts payable coding and entry, facilitate weekly subcontractor payouts
- Assist with monthly project billings to Owners
- Collect and review waivers for compliance and follow-up with subcontractors as appropriate
- Assist with monthly / quarterly reporting and reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Work-in-progress analysis of active projects
- Reconcile monthly bank statements for various corporate accounts
- Other special projects as assigned by the Controller or Accounting Manager
Qualifications
- Must be actively enrolled with a declared major in accounting or GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Organized and detail oriented; capability to multi – task
- High-level of integrity and must be Will deal with sensitive data.
- Proficient Microsoft Office
Technology
- Become proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint ) and Outlook and Viewpoint
