Private Live-in Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals with varying needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, particularly with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support in their daily activities.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Support clients in meal preparation and cooking, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients during transfers or mobility assistance.
• Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in group home events or outings.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as required.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and other caregivers to develop individualized care plans.

Requirements

• Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or group home settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of social work principles is advantageous for understanding client needs.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals who have autism or other developmental disabilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed while ensuring client safety.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus but not mandatory at the time of application.
• A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact in their lives is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $300.00 - $325.00 per day

Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
