We are actively recruiting for a Cathodic Protection (CP) Testing Technician. Our client is expanding its team with a unique opportunity to join an organization at the forefront of environmental compliance, dedicated to ensuring the integrity and safety of underground storage systems that contain petroleum-based products.
Role Overview: This role is perfect for individuals who are mechanically inclined, tech-savvy, and possess a keen eye for detail. With no prior experience required, we offer extensive and ongoing training to ensure your success in the field. Your role will be critical in conducting environmental compliance services across the mid-South Region, including West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, and Kentucky.
Candidate must hold current at least one of the below certifications :
AMPP/NACE Cathodic Protection Testing Tech (Level 1)
STI Cathodic Protection Tester
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to various job sites to perform environmental compliance services for retail, commercial, and governmental clients.
Conduct testing and inspection of underground tank cathodic protection (CP) system components to ensure operability.
Occasionally perform additional compliance tests for fueling systems not related to CP.
Analyze, interpret, and transmit testing results back to the company office.
Ensure adherence to EPA regulations and company safety procedures during fieldwork.
Requirements:
High integrity and ethical standards.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must pass stringent background checks and drug testing as per company policy.
Physical Demands:
This position requires frequent travel, typically Monday through Thursday nights, with occasional weekend work.
The role involves frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, climbing ladders up to 20 feet, and lifting objects up to 80 lbs.
