Director of Operations – Vehicle Service Industry/Oil Change
Position Title: Director of Operations
Location: Portland, OR
Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead the development and management of their nationally recognized and growing automotive services brand. This role is pivotal in driving their growth strategy in the Pacific Northwest region. The Director of Operations will oversee all operating business aspects, from financial performance to human resources and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence: Ensure that all locations operate efficiently, adhere to company standards, and deliver exceptional customer service. Follow the franchisor handbook.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to support the operations and growth of the business.
Customer Service: Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and ensure profitability of the locations.
Training and Development: Create and oversee training programs to ensure all team members have the necessary skills and knowledge.
Compliance: Ensure all centers comply with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including franchise partners, suppliers, and local communities.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to the ownership team on the status and performance of the locations.
Representation: Represent the ownership team at national conferences, calls, and regional meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; or proven successful career experience in like role.
Proven experience in managing multi-unit operations, preferably in the automotive quick-service industry.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and forecasting.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
