Outside Sales Representative – industrial products – fluid power, hydraulics
An experienced Outside Sales Representative is required to join an industrial manufacturer of hydraulics, fluid controls, and quick-connect products. The successful candidate will be responsible for networking, acting as a technical liaison, and managing projects to drive new sales success.
- Build relationships with end-users in various industries, including automotive, construction, medical, marine, transportation, wind energy, etc.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders (customers, sales staff, engineering, procurement, operations) to understand and meet project needs and priorities.
- Develop presentations and provide clarifications to customers and colleagues (in-person and digital).
- Create a pipeline of qualified business-to-business sales opportunities (short-term, mid-range, and long-term).
- Conduct site visits as necessary.
- Follow up on sales leads.
- A strong technical background is essential, with a particular understanding of hydraulics.
- The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years' experience in industrial product sales (pumps, hoses, couplings, pneumatics, etc.).
- Prior experience living in the Northern Chicago suburbs is preferred.
- Travel will be approximately 50% throughout the Midwest.
