Our client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to work with our litigation and corporate groups in Dallas. The job responsibilities encompass performing overall legal secretarial and general administrative tasks, including :
- Receptionist duties including answering phones, routing calls, greet clients, handling deliveries
- Prepare various legal documents and correspondence such as letters, memos, briefs, summonses, complaints, motions, discovery and subpoenas specific to the practice area of the attorney and\or legal assistant
- Process new business intake and expense reimbursements in timely manner
- Previous experience preparing for and attending trial including preparation of exhibits and trial notebooks, scheduling depositions, court reporters and videographers
- Preparing closing binders for corporate transactions and assisting with post-closing matters
- File documents, order certificates and perform searches with the Texas Secretary of State, and work with Capitol Services for corporations that are formed outside of Texas.
- Administrative support includes : transcribing dictation, maintaining multiple attorney calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, entering attorney time, billing, preparing expense reports, organizing and coordinating meetings and conferences
- Maintaining effective filing system
- Perform other duties as assigned
