Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity across all areas of the organization.
- Lead and manage a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including production, supply chain management, logistics, quality control, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient workflow and delivery of products/services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, HR, and IT, to identify operational needs, address challenges, and drive process improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, analyze data trends, and identify areas for improvement to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations to ensure cost-effective operations and optimal utilization of resources.
- Identify and implement technology solutions and automation tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making in operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as company policies and procedures, in all aspects of operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the operations team, encouraging initiative, creativity, and proactive problem-solving.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors, and suppliers to support operational goals and objectives.
- Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates for senior management, providing insights into operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in operations management, and recommend strategies for adaptation and implementation as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in leading and optimizing operations in a complex organizational environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive results, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving operational excellence and achieving business goals.
- Demonstrated expertise in operations management principles, processes, and methodologies, including lean management, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and operational analytics, with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or service operations preferred.
