Job Description

About the Role:

As a Senior Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the organization. Reporting directly to the Director or Vice President of Operations, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and drive business growth. You will lead a team of operations professionals, set performance goals, and ensure that operational processes align with company objectives and standards. Your leadership and strategic insights will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving key performance metrics.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity across all areas of the organization.
  • Lead and manage a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including production, supply chain management, logistics, quality control, and customer service, to ensure smooth and efficient workflow and delivery of products/services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, HR, and IT, to identify operational needs, address challenges, and drive process improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, analyze data trends, and identify areas for improvement to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations to ensure cost-effective operations and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions and automation tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance decision-making in operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as company policies and procedures, in all aspects of operations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the operations team, encouraging initiative, creativity, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, vendors, and suppliers to support operational goals and objectives.
  • Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates for senior management, providing insights into operational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in operations management, and recommend strategies for adaptation and implementation as appropriate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in operations management, with a proven track record of success in leading and optimizing operations in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive results, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving operational excellence and achieving business goals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operations management principles, processes, and methodologies, including lean management, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and operational analytics, with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or service operations preferred.

The salary for this position is $90,000 annually; however, base pay rate offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
