Role Overview
A Home Office position reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, this role supports the multi-faceted efforts and initiatives of the sales operations department through the daily operational upkeep of its primary data systems (CRM, BI, database) and by providing high-quality customer service to the sales team and other key stakeholders. Responsible for delivering value-added data insights, building and managing machine learning models and algorithms, and staying on top of business-critical regular reporting and data requests that meet our most important business and operational needs.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets using statistical techniques to generate insights and support strategic initiatives.
Create and manage dashboards in Tableau to visualize key performance metrics for the sales team.
Automate data extraction, processing, and reporting workflows using Python and SQL.
Develop and maintain predictive models to assess the impact of sales activities, targeting, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with sales leadership to understand business needs and translate them into analytical projects.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflows to streamline data management and reporting processes.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and present findings in a clear and actionable format to stakeholders.
Ensure data quality and integrity across all analysis and reporting.
Support initiatives in a wide range of sales analytics topics: territory, regional and national performance, customer targeting, sales territory design, sample allocations, incentive compensation, digital marketing analytics, etc.
Competencies/Career level
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Proven experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization in a sales or commercial setting.
Strong Python skills for data science, AI/ML, and automation.
Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
Knowledge of C# a plus.
Advanced Excel skills including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
Experience creating and managing visualizations in Tableau or a similar BI tool. Experience in building custom dashboards using Python and related frameworks a plus.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and general data ETL best practices.
Experience with digital marketing analytics and omni-channel mix a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements and personal skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.

Experience (years/area): Minimum 4 years of experience working in Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or other relevant function that can illustrate applicable analytical skill set.
Specific Knowledge: Pharmaceutical industry experience a plus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
