The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the execution of critical projects within the insurance claims domain. This includes overseeing all project phases, from initiation to completion, while ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and quality standards. The role requires a strong focus on planning, execution, and stakeholder management, as well as a deep understanding of insurance claims processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects focused on insurance claims systems, tools, and processes.
Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans and manage resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact for business and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and changes.
Gather and document project requirements from business units and ensure alignment with technical teams.
Risk & Issue Management:
Proactively identify potential risks and issues that could affect project timelines and outcomes.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address risks and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Escalate issues as necessary to ensure swift resolution and project success.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards by working closely with the development and operations teams.
Conduct reviews and inspections of work to ensure compliance with defined processes and specifications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to align on project requirements and deliverables.
Facilitate collaboration between business teams and technical teams to ensure project success.
Coordinate with external vendors or partners if required for project implementation.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Track project progress against defined goals, timelines, and budgets.
Provide regular status updates and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Conduct project retrospectives and lessons-learned sessions to identify areas for improvement in future projects.
Qualifications:
Experience:
5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the insurance or claims-related industries.
Proven experience managing projects related to insurance claims, policy management, or similar business processes.
Strong understanding of insurance claims workflows, including claims intake, processing, adjudication, and settlement.
Project Management Skills:
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello, Rally).
Excellent organizational, technical management, time management, and multitasking skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar project management certification.
Insurance industry-specific certifications (e.g., AINS, CPCU) are a plus.
