Associate Director, Total Rewards & HR Operations
The Associate Director of Total Rewards & HR Operations will have a high-level HR generalist background with at least 5 or more years’ experience in total rewards, including benefits and compensation, as well as experience in HR Operations. The role will be responsible for supporting various business needs including comprehensive total rewards programs, HR policies, HR systems, programs and initiatives, and ensuring that all align with business priorities and provide the best possible employee experience.
Role and Responsibilities :
Total Rewards (Compensation and Benefits)
- In partnership with HR leadership, manage the development, implementation, and administration of global compensation and benefit programs.
- Monitor the effectiveness of compensation practices and benefit offerings. Recommend changes that are cost-effective and consistent with trends, supportive of corporate objectives, and attractive to employees.
- Support and maintain compensation structures, ensuring competitiveness with market trends.
- Manage and administer the annual compensation planning process, including merit, bonus, and equity plan administration.
- Suggest creative solutions to specific compensation and benefit programs and incentive plans. Help evaluate and renew benefit plans annually.
- Manage the entire open enrollment process, coordinating with vendors to ensure effective employee education and communication.
- Leverage technology and oversee interface file feeds, partnering with IT and external vendors to ensure employee information is transferred accurately.
- Reconcile monthly benefit invoices.
- Manage the 401(k) plan and support the 401(k) committee.
- Manage the Family Medical Leave process, ensuring compliance, employee communication, and appropriate leave tracking.
- Help develop benefit policies, including but not limited to tuition reimbursement, PTO policies, and leave policies.
- Participate in annual salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved.
- Prepare and present employee education on benefits programs such as insurance plans, 401(k), life, and special employer-sponsored plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, government, and local compensation and benefit laws and regulations, including benefit audits and 5500 filings.
HR Operations Responsibilities
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills :
The pay range for this role will vary depending on location. Pay range for Menlo Park, CA area : $160-$190,000 annually. Pay range for all other locations : $150 -$175,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may differ in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits, and / or other applicable variable compensation.
