The Opportunity
The Senior Director, US Payer Marketing, will support the development of market access strategies for the Avidity portfolio. This role will help develop impactful value stories and messages for access stakeholders, develop access communications / materials, and collaborate to support value evidence generation. The senior director will develop and manage launch plans and budgets and will manage the agency execution. Strong communication and collaboration will be essential in working with the broader market access team and cross-functionally with marketing, commercial operations and insights, HEOR, Medical, Finance, and Legal. This role reports to the Executive Director, Payer & Pricing Strategy.
What You Will Contribute
- Support the development of access strategy and execution plan to drive speed and quality of coverage for Avidity products and coverage of ancillary services such as genetic testing.
- Ensure the development of impactful value stories and value messages that resonate with access stakeholders and compel appropriate coverage policies and patient access.
- Oversee the development of access launch planning which thoughtfully considers branded and unbranded activities before and during launch (e.g., Pre-approval information exchange, Payer Value Proposition, etc.), payer engagement, and other market access and cross-functional team members.
- Maintain market access budget by identifying key activities, materials, and projects requiring execution, and support disciplined resource commitment and tracking.
- Lead the development of key access materials such as pre-approval information exchange, disease state education, payer value proposition, objection handlers, and field communications.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including HEOR and medical, to identify evidence generation gaps and contribute to evidence-generation planning efforts.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of disease states, unmet needs, clinical data, commercialization strategy, as well as payer, access, and policy environment with a particular focus on rare disease management and trends.
- Support development and execution of data analytics, access insights, and coverage tracking initiatives to inform strategy and execution.
- Collaborate with patient services to ensure patient needs are understood and affordability programs are aligned with access strategies and to help develop and deliver patient service materials.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support brand strategy and ensure access perspective is incorporated into planning and execution. Incorporate insights, materials, and messaging as appropriate into market access materials.
- Partner with Legal, Medical, and regulatory to ensure a solution-oriented and compliant approach to engaging access stakeholders.
