Payroll Analyst

Position Summary : This position is responsible for the administration of the company's payroll. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for the timely delivery of payroll and related customer service, including recordkeeping and reconciliations. This position provides support to the Payroll Operations team. Typical duties and tasks for this position will include the following : Collect and process electronic and manual pay data into the payroll system. Perform complex clerical duties involved in the preparation and processing of the payrolls. Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports. Document workflow and work procedures. Cross train designated back-up to administer and process payroll. Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities and serve as a liaison with service providers. Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports. Complete appropriate Sox reconciliations. Provide support to Payroll Operations personnel. Participate on cross-functional project teams. Distribution of payroll reports and financial information to entities as required. Responds to all entity requests, employee verifications and legal writs. Resolves general payroll problems and questions. Able to use multiple systems effectively (, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PC Applications). Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs most payroll functions without assistance. Resolves general payroll problems and questions. Works under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager. Position Requirements : Bachelors degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required. Must have a minimum of 4-5 years experience processing multi-state payroll in a large (1,000 employee), automated environment. Must have knowledge of commonly used payroll concepts, practices and procedures. Must have experience processing / auditing payroll in ADP GlobalView or SAP Payroll.Qualifications : Bachelors degree or an Associates Degree with relevant working experience.
