ExoTerra is microsatellite company specializing in solar electric propulsion systems and space exploration satellites. The company develops Hall Thrusters, propulsion modules, microsatellites and launch vehicle upper stages. We have been awarded multiple propulsion module and satellite contracts and are in need of a Project Planner/Scheduler to build and maintain schedules.
Job Summary
This role will coordinate with Program Managers and Production teams to ensure program schedules meet project and company goals; coordinate with the production teams for purchasing, inventory management, and on-floor production and testing to keep teams focused on the goals and schedule needs. This role will ensure program schedules are deconflicted in the master schedule.
The ideal candidate is someone who loves solving puzzles and will have experience with:
- the manufacturing process with exposure to manufacturing & machining environments;
- understanding lead times and on-demand inventory;
- understanding critical path and scheduling;
- technical experience reviewing and interpreting product design, bill of materials, and customer specifications to accurately depict any schedule impacts in Microsoft Project, JIRA and similar planning/scheduling tools;
- ability to critically think about our best solutions and how to get parts to the finish line on time;
- proven ability of critical thinking and identifying the best, financially sound solutions on procurement to production decisions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Build, coordinate and maintain schedule for multiple spacecraft and propulsion modules using Microsoft Project, JIRA and similar planning/scheduling tools.
- Work with the Project managers to identify tasks, estimate durations, establish task links and identify critical path.
- Work with production and test teams to organize and sequence resources to efficiently maintain production flow.
- Work with procurement and inventory controllers to manage on dock inventory dates and need.
- Attend daily stand ups to communicate weekly schedule items and get feed back from teams on where production is to feed information back to the schedule and Program Managers.
- Enter customer/job specifications into CostPoint software.
- Assist with production planning where needed, including composing stack-up documentation and product specifications to production and design teams.
- Assist in preparation of documents and travelers for manufacturing process new orders.
- Other duties as needed to help production or procurement meet their goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-10 years experience
- Must have extensive experience in with Microsoft Project, JIRA and similar planning/scheduling tools
- Experience reviewing and interpreting product design, bill of materials, and customer specifications to reflect impact to schedules, if any
- Manufacturing and production experience
- Experience with Deltek CostPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- US Citizen

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
