Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Machinist Toolmaker located in Kenilworth, NJ. The Machinist Toolmaker will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Day-to-day tasks include reading blueprints, setting up and operating CNC machines, cutting and shaping metal and plastic pieces, ensuring parts meet specifications, and conducting routine maintenance on machines.
Qualifications
- Experience with CNC machining, machine operation, and tool setup
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Skills in precision measurement and quality assurance
- Knowledge of metal and plastic cutting, shaping, and finishing techniques
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship is beneficial
