Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to various skill levels and age groups.
- Teach a variety of dance styles while ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
- Provide individualized feedback to students to help them improve their performance.
- Organize and lead rehearsals for performances or showcases, ensuring all participants are prepared.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Collaborate with other instructors on curriculum development and special events.
- Maintain classroom management to ensure a focused and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Stay updated on dance trends and techniques to continually enhance teaching methods.
Skills
- Strong background in dance with proficiency in various styles.
- Experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in arts education.
- Ability to develop curriculum and lesson plans tailored to student needs.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively engage young learners.
- Skills in classroom management to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Experience in special education is a plus, enabling the instructor to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Creative problem-solving skills, particularly in choreography and performance preparation.
