Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly Ballet, and possess the ability to inspire and educate students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting the joy of dance.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups.
- Teach various dance styles with an emphasis on Ballet while incorporating elements of creativity and expression.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their skills and confidence in dance.
- Organize performances and recitals to showcase student progress and achievements.
- Utilize photography skills to capture class moments and performances for promotional purposes.
- Collaborate with other instructors on curriculum development and special projects.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest trends in dance education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching dance, with a strong focus on Ballet; additional styles are a plus.
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning atmosphere.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is beneficial for working with younger students.
- Experience in tutoring or providing individualized instruction is preferred.
- Skills in sewing for costume preparation are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Culinary skills can be an asset for organizing themed events or workshops related to dance.
- A genuine passion for dance and education, along with the ability to inspire students of all ages.
