What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Specialist position at ExpectCare?
Responsibilities:
- Understands and adheres to established Hospice policies and procedures. * Compiles trends and reports data including the following areas: patient care, safety, risk management, infection control, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in hospice care.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of patient records, clinical documentation, and care plans to assess compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
- Assist in providing education and training to staff members on quality assurance processes, documentation requirements, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support QAPI program to develop and maintain quality metrics and dashboards to track and report on key performance indicators related to patient care, outcomes, and satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices in hospice care to ensure ongoing compliance and quality improvement.
- Assist in all efforts for survey preparation before and during survey and after survey. * Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.
- Serves as a resource person to employees
