Responsibilities :
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, architects, individuals from engineering disciplines and the team to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for commercial real estate development projects.
Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and cost estimates to inform project planning.
Design site infrastructure, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Utilize the latest software tools for civil engineering, including Autodesk, AutoCAD, Civil 3D & Revit to create detailed and accurate designs.
Proven experience in managing and leading civil engineering aspects of commercial real estate projects from concept, through government approvals, to completion.
Deep interest and knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency of the firm.
Able to meet tight deadlines, budgets, and quality standards while implementing strategic thinking to rehabilitate dilapidated commercial buildings.
Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and solving complex engineering problems related to site development.
Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about advancements in civil engineering.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with commercial real estate development projects, including site layouts, grading and drainage plans, septic and sewer configurations, soil testing, and preparation of planning and zoning filings.
Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Autodesk, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and other relevant tools.
Strong understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, wetlands restrictions, and other environmental considerations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Professional Engineer - Massachusetts P.E. Certification IS REQUIRED
