What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Authentication Specialist position at Expedited Travel?
The Expedited Travel Document Specialist contributes to the company mission of providing extraordinary internal and external customer service and has expertise in document authentication. The role will be responsible for reviewing US Citizens documents that will be used overseas as a passport or visa.
Starting Pay $16.83 increasing to $17.83 at 90 days of employment.
This position works 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday with overtime available.
Extreme attention to detail and a high level of precision and organization are required for this position. Strong communication skills are a must, as this position involves professional interactions with clients by phone and email.
Work in this position involves no direct supervisory duties or responsibilities although does involve frequent interaction with colleagues as well as providing feedback to colleagues to resolve errors and increase accuracy in processes. Work requires independent judgment although difficult issues are referred to a supervisor for resolution.
Employees in this position generally work a conventional work week. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical exertion but may require lifting and bending. The majority of work is completed via computer and physical inspection of documents.
Tasks:
· Create task or enter data of documents authentication.
· Confer with potential and existing clients by telephone or via email to provide information about services and direct them to the appropriate associate.
· Evaluate information on various forms and supporting documents to verify completeness and accuracy in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
· Keep record of client interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as action taken.
· Perform routine data entry and other office support activities, including sorting, creating air bills, photocopying, distribute and file documents (soft and/or hard copy), ordering supplies, and filing.
· Contact clients to inform/respond to inquiries or to notify them of status of and/or next steps needed
· Phones and email answered in timely manner - meeting Expedited Travel standard of care.
· Works collaboratively with other staff/departments/locations.
· Utilize cutting-edge online proprietary technologies to offer unmatched electronic document management solutions.
· Evaluate information on various forms and supporting documents to verify completeness and accuracy in accordance with guidelines and procedures.
· Perform other duties as assigned. Assist others in the performance of related tasks.

Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
3 years of experience preferably in related field or busy document centric or professional environment.
