This position is a part of our Cartage team, which focuses on building and sustaining our proprietary web application that supports short haul truck dispatches that are the first and final portions of a transportation transaction.
What you will be doing :
Playing a key role on a collaborative project team, responsible for the design and production of mission-critical, enterprise-scale business systemsTranslating requirements into system design specifications and the implementation of systems throughout the entire software development life cycleDeveloping a thorough understanding of the logistics business domainMaintaining an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a wholeInfluencing the design and technical direction of the systemThis position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study, or equivalent experienceRobust Java coding abilitiesAt least 3 years in a software development role in a team environmentExperience with web developmentExperience with Angular, Bootstrap and / or similar front-end frameworksSpring, Spring Boot, and dependency injectionExperience with IntelliJ, Maven, GitLab or Github, and CI / CD pipelinesDemonstrated knowledge and experience with :Object-oriented analysis and design
Relational database concepts and SQLRESTful APIsCustomer service-oriented attitude and great time-management skillsAbility to communicate across IT and Business rolesDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Expected base salary : $100,000 to $145,000
