Job Description
Scope of Position
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within theOcean ExportDepartment.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Interact with our customers in arranging their international export shipments.
- Provide outstanding, friendly customer service through daily communication with both internal and external customers
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
- Track and traceshipments as required
- Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes
- Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing
- Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (steamship lines, trucking companies, and others)
- Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirements.
- Customer Service: 6 months to 1 yearexperience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- This position will sit in Moon Township, PA. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
- Understanding oftransportation documentation and termsis a plus
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Pro-active, strong organizational skills
- Strong desire to learn
- Proficient computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Fluent in English
