What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabric-Sewing Warehouse Associate position at Experience?
Join Elegant Event Lighting! We provide decor production services for wedding ceremonies and receptions around Chicagoland. This includes draping, chandeliers, dance floors and other unique decor elements.
Part time job to start on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Possibility for an extra day Saturday as crew, or other extra days as needed in the busy season. Possibility to become full-time
Essential Duties | What You’ll Do
- Work in a warehouse environment assisting in the fabric department
- Fold and Iron Fabric
- Prepare fabric for events
- Operate Washer and Dryer Machines
- Assist with simple sewing projects: no sewing experience needed
- Assist with small tasks in the warehouse: remove greenery of cafe lights, remove batteries of tea lights
Extra day Saturday as crew:
- On Saturdays you will work onsite at hotels, golf courses, tents... installing and dismantling event decor
- Load and unload event décor onto trucks for delivery to clients, venues and to return products to the warehouse
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and reach during entire work shift
- Able to stand and/or walk 100% of the work shift
- Ability to work with hands and arms during entire shift
- Must be able to move and climb ladders WITHOUT accommodation or assistance
- Ability to work in high lift
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 30 lbs. throughout the shift. Occasionally may move up to and over 100 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to handle fragile items safely
- Must be able to tolerate cold, heat and humid conditions
