What's the Job?
- Responsible for the asset reliability, maintenance, and performance of all Utilities & Facilities equipment, installations and building in the factory, leading the facilities technicians, reporting into this position. This involves being in compliance and passing all EHS / Regulatory / Legal internal and external audits related to Facilitie s.
- Ensures that required work is planned, scheduled, and performed on a timely basis and is not forgotten or neglected, effectively manages maintenance backlog. Communicates needs for overtime if backlog requires.
- Collaborates with maintenance planner to manage work tasks for internal/external resources.
- Serves as lead for internal and contracted maintenance activities related to the maintaining, repairing, and improvement of site assets.
- Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
What's Needed?
- Associates Degree in a technical field with 5 year's facilities or production maintenance experience and/or 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing maintenance role is preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with High School Diploma and 5 years' experience in a production maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP Plant Maintenance)
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Background in Chemical processing or manufacturing with some kind of building or facility management.
- Skills should include HVAC, boiler treatment, deionized water, fire suppression and alarm systems.
- High level knowledge of PLCs, and understand how to read PLC ladder logic.
- A controls engineer background is beneficial.
